The booklet exposes the worthlessness of election symbols. The Public is exploited as a vote bank, by self-seeking politicians Innocent public is trapped in the charm of the election symbols. The Constitution of India does not endorse existence of any party or election symbols. Red-tape and corrupt policies of the Election Commission promote and authenticate the use of election symbols, which is a weapon for political duping. Political in place of public welfare gains importance, leading to social partition and infusion of social poison. But the public needs to be cautious in choosing welfare-oriented leaders. In place of election symbols, identity card of candidates with photos should be in the ballot papers. For choosing representatives, election should be held in two phases and candidates should not be affiliated to any party. In place of election symbols there should be photograps this system will facilitate the choice of appropriate leaders. Hence, the public should shun the election symbols.
